Zarif: Iran, Latvia broadening all-out relations

Tehran, April 3, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Latvia are now broadening all-out relations and mutual cooperation.

Zarif made the remarks in a meeting with Latvian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrejs Pildegovics in Tehran on Monday.

There exists ample of good opportunities for both countries and grounds for bolstering share of the state-run organizations and the private sectors should be well-prepared, Zarif said.

Referring to huge potentials in various fields, he called for expansion of cooperation in agriculture, special planning and transportations between the two countries.

Level of mutual cooperation indicates that grounds for the expansion of relations for both sides are well prepared, Zarif said.

Latvian deputy foreign minister, for his part called for expansion of cooperation in road transportations, shipping line and air transportation.

Latvian companies are willing to broaden cooperation with Iran mainly in land transportation mainly in North to South corridor, he said.

Expansion of cooperation in other sectors as tourism and Persian Language teaching are among areas of interests, he said.

Visits of European Union officials to Iran indicate that the country enjoys huge potentials for expansion of cooperation with Europe, he said.
