Iran, Russia’s reliable partner: Serbian daily

Belgrade, March 29, IRNA – Moscow considers Tehran as a good neighbor and a reliable partner, writes a Serbian daily newspaper.

In a recent report, Pravda Serbia has referred to the meeting between President Hassan Rouhani and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow, saying that for Russia the Islamic Republic of Iran is a good neighbor and a reliable partner.

According to the Russian President, Moscow and Tehran have established broad ties in all spheres, the daily said.

During his meeting with President Rouhani, Putin said that Iran and Russia can work together to address regional and international issues while they maintain good ties in the economic field, it said.

Quoting President Rouhani the daily also said that in recent years mutual ties between Iran and Russia have been positive and developing.

Rouhani was quoted by the Serbian newspaper as saying that the main goal followed by the two countries is strengthening peace and stability in the region.

President Rouhani heading a high-ranking delegation was in Moscow on Monday and Tuesday at a formal invitation by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
