S African president impressed by Isfahan historical monuments

Isfahan, April 25, IRNA – South African President Jacob Zuma, who is in Isfahan, said that Imam Square is manifestation of Iranian-Islamic art and advanced architecture which fascinates all visitors.

During a visit to the historical square, Zuma told reporters “I thought it was an ordinary square, but after seeing the place, I noticed that it is manifestation of art and architecture.”
Existing of mosque next to bazzar and royal palace in this historical square indicated that religion has given people sucha bleief and power to these masterpieces.
'After seeing historical monuments of Isfahan, I realized that all I have already heard about this city was quite true and for sure Isfahan is a histocial, attractive and touristic city.'
President Zuma said that in the future he will visit this city as an ordinary citizen to know about the personalities who created these masterpeices, how they lived and how they thought.
Zuma arrived in Isfahan on Sunday evening and was welcomed by Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian and Isfahan Governor General Rasoul Zargarpour at the airport.
He visited a number of sight seeings in Isfahan on Monday.
President Zuma arrived in Tehran on Sunday morning at the head of a 180-member politico-economic delegation.
He met with Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday.
