Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade in Industries Affairs declared readiness of this ministry to begin a new round of economic cooperation with the country in different fields of industry and mining.

Farhad Moqimi made the remarks in a meeting with Managing director Russia's EXIAR Insurance Company. 

The meeting was attended by a number of managers from Iran's Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO).

Explaining the status of a joint project between the two countries in the field of manufacturing the interior section of wagon in Iran, Moqimi said, 'Supplying 6,000 freighter wagons with Russia’s resources will enter into an executive phase with the joint cooperation of Iranian and Russian manufacturing companies in an agreement with EXIAR Insurance.

According to him, technical projects were previously agreed by Iranian and Russian manufacturing companies to implement the project. 

According to IRNA, on July 2017, a joint wagon production agreement between the Iranian Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) and the company ' Trench Mesh Holding ' of Russia was signed through the Pars Wagon factory with the presence of Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, the then Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade, and ' Abbas Araqchi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

Moqimi also emphasized the maximum use of domestic technical capability and said that Iranian companies are ready to cooperate jointly. 

With the settlement of the problems of the transfer of foreign currency between the two countries, if the funds are secured, implementation of this agreement will be accelerated. 

The official also referred to the development of joint cooperation between the two countries, adding that in the mineral and other industries, it is also ready to use the capabilities of the parties for new business partners by introducing to the Russian side.
