Iran exports over $1b of bitumen since March

An Iranian official said over one billion dollar of bitumen has been exported since the beginning of current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20, 2018).

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the 10th International Exhibition of Cement Concrete, Bitumen, Asphalt Related Equipments Machinery, which is currently underway in Tehran, caretaker of Iran International Exhibitions Company Bahman Hosseinzadeh said utilizing the state-of-art technologies in producing bitumen and asphalt has increased the volume of exports of the commodities to the neighboring countries.

The exhibition opened at Tehran International Fairgrounds on Tuesday and expected to be wrapped up on Friday.

Hosseinzadeh added that 155 Iranian and foreign companies are showcasing their products during the four-day event.

He also said the number of Iranian and foreign companies attending the exhibition this year, has increased by 40 percent compared to the previous year.
