Iran supports Turkish investors’ presence in country

Head of Iran's Presidential Office Mahmoud Vaezi said on Friday that today Iran boasts of good investment opportunities and it welcomed Turkish firm’s involvement in the country’s projects.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the Turkish and Iranian investors in Ankara.

Vaezi currently is in Turkey at the head of a politico-economic delegation for talks with the country’s high-ranking officials to make arrangements for the Iranian president’s visit to the country.

Referring to the two countries’ capacities and capabilities, he stressed the need for efforts of the two countries to ease cooperation and investments of the economic activists in both countries.

“We are ready to prepare the ground for Iranian investors’ involvement in Turkish projects in a bid to share their experience with their Turkish counterparts,” Vaezi said.

Since 2013 when President Rouhani took office, Iranian and Turkish presidents have exchanged official visits and the fifth official meeting of the two presidents will soon be held in Turkey.

Furthermore, President Rouhani and Turkish President Recep Teyyip Erdogan have had meetings on the sidelines of the regional and international fora.
