Iran, Italy trade conference starts in Tehran

Iran and Italy trade conference attended by the Iranian ministers and their Italian counterparts kicked off at Espinas Hotel in Tehran Tuesday morning.

Abbas Akhondi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mahmoud Hojjati, Minister of Agricultural Jihad, and Amir-Hossein Zamani-Nia Deputy Petroleum Minister for International Affairs along with Maurizio Martina, Italy's Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies and Graziano Del Rio the European country's Minister of Infrastructure and Transport were among high-ranking officials present at the trade conference.

The large Italian delegation, comprised of 310 people from 197 companies arrived in Iran on Monday two weeks following the visit by the Iranian delegation from Rome.

During the visit by the Italian delegation, Tehran and Rome are expected to sign new agreements especially in oil and energy sectors.
