Iranian-Dutch technological ties to expand

Dutch Ambassador in Tehran Susanna Terstal said there is a vast potential for boosting ties between research firms in her country and Iran's Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI).

Speaking during a visit to RIPI on Monday, she further said that the removal of sanctions paves the way for enhancing ties between Dutch research institutes and their Iranian counterparts, reported Shana.

She described RIPI's facilities, achievements and potentialities as impressive.

Dutch research institutions began interactions with RIPI two month ago and are ready to expand them now that the international restrictions on Iran have eased, she added.

She pointed to RIPI's cooperation with Delft University as a sign of Netherlands's seriousness to join petroleum research projects in Iran.

"I enjoyed an interesting visit and learned a lot about how oil is produced in Iran," wrote Terstal in a guestbook at the end of the visit.

During her visit, the Dutch ambassador to Iran also visited RIPI's upstream and downstream faculties.
