Titanium Dioxide DuPont R900

Titanium Dioxide R-900 is a rutile Titanium Dioxide pigment manufactured by the Chloride process and supplied as a translucent fine, dry powder for general interior coatings applications. R-900 is insoluble in water, organic acids and dilute Alkaline solutions.

Titanium Dioxide R-900 is a general-purpose pigment used in Alkyd and latex paints. This white pigment disperses easily, develops high gloss, and provides maximum hiding power in a wide range of gloss grade applications. TiO2 R-900 has high resistance to corrosion, high resistivity, high thermal stability, good durability, great UV-absorbing capacity and outstanding weather ability.

Applications:

Titanium Dioxide R-900 is used as coating in interior gloss and semi-gloss architectural applications, particularly as a primer, and also exterior applications when a medium chalk resistance is preferable.

R-900 has many applications as coating, including interior industrial coatings, automotive primer coatings, water-based coatings, solvent-based coatings, powder coatings, coil coatings, wood coatings, container coatings, can coating, appliance coatings, metal furniture finishes, high reflectance white coil coatings, anticorrosive paints, and electrodeposition primer applications.

TiO2 R-900 is used in plastics applications, including Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) interior, PVC exterior, Polyethylene (PE)/ Polypropylene (PP) masterbatches, engineering plastics and also fiber, paper and printing.

Storage:

Titanium Dioxide R-900 is a kind of white powder which is inflammable, nontoxic and non-hazardous. Keep TiO2 R-900 away from moisture during transport. R-900 should be stored in a cool, ventilated, dry place away from flammable substances. Titanium Dioxide R-900 is classified as a nuisance dust. Avoid breathing dust when handling, and wash with soap and water in case of skin contact.

The shelf life of R-900 is indefinite as long as the material is kept from direct contact with moisture.
