Bentone 34

Bentone34 is an organic derivative Bentonite based organoclay which is used as a rheological additive. Bentone34 is a cost-effective product, particularly in invert diesel and mineral oil-based fluids.

Bentone34 increases the viscosity and provides thixotropy. Bentone34 improves flow and leveling. Bentone34 prevents pigment settling during storage and syneresis in thixotropic systems. Bentone34 controls the sagging on vertical surfaces and penetration on porous substrates.

Applications:

Bentone34 is suitable for low to medium polarity aliphatic and aromatic solvent-borne paint and coating systems. Bentone34 is used for adhesives, anti-corrosive paints, automotive finishes, bituminous compositions, coil coating systems, dip coatings and industrial and household appliances finishes.

Bentone34 is also used in interior and exterior house paints including do-it-yourself paints, paint stripper pastes, printing inks, putty and caulking compounds, road marking paints, greases, mold release agents, primers, undercoats, underbody sealants and sound-absorbing compounds, wood preservatives and finishing systems, waxes and wood preservatives.

Handling and Storage:

Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Remove all sources of ignition. Avoid contact of Bentone34 with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing dust, fume, gas, mist, vapors or spray of Bentone34. Wash hands thoroughly after handling Bentone34.

Keep Bentone34 in a cool and dry area. Keep containers tightly closed to avoid moisture absorption and contamination. Keep product and empty container of Bentone34 away from heat and sources of ignition. Bentone34 has a shelf life of 4 years from date of manufacture.
