Azodicarbonamide Blowing Agent

Azodicarbonamide is a chemical compound with the appearance of a yellow to orange-red odorless crystalline powder. It is Insoluble in water and common solvents and is mainly used as a blowing agent in plastic and leather industries. A blowing agent is a chemical additive that can evolve gas through thermal decomposition and produce foam structures in polymeric materials such as plastics and rubbers. This grade is used in Foams of PVC, synthetic leather, sandals, wall coverings, floor coverings, etc.

Azodicarbonamide (D300L), is also known as Blowing Agent. This foaming agent is odorless and non-toxic, with good storage stability and has self-extinguishment. Azodicarbonamide will not decompose under common temperature.

Azodicarbonamide is widely used as common chemical blowing agent for foamed plastics and rubbers because of lots of advantage of low toxicity, high decomposition temperature, high expansion ratio and so on. Azodicarbonamide (D300L) has diversity in particle size according to customer’s needs.

Applications:

Azodicarbonamide Plastic products are widely used in demanding, such as high-density Ethyl-vinyl Acetate (EVA), the Polyethylene (PE) shoe material, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) + PVC insulation materials, auto parts, PVC and many kinds of rubber, and it is suitable to hot-pressing foaming in EVA large or small mold and secondary foaming of PE, etc.

Azodicarbonamide (D300L) is especially suitable for the size of the mold pressing EVA foam and the free mode of rubber and plastic foam; commonly used in EVA granulation injection, PE molded foam of PVC molding, extrusion coating, and rubber and plastic molded foam and rubber extrusion.

Storage:

Azodicarbonamide (D300L) should be stored in a cool, dry place away from any sources of heat, spark, open flames or direct sunlight. Never let D300L contact directly with Acids and Alkalis.

Good local exhaust ventilation in handling and mixing areas is highly recommended. Be careful not to inhale Azodicarbonamide D300L powder, make frequent skin contact or swallow it. When meet fire please use water spray, Carbon Dioxide or chemical powder fire cannot be manually extinguished.
