Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) a white powder synthetic resin made from the polymerization of vinyl chloride. It is a major thermoplastic and is the world's third-most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer. The robustness or durability of PVC plastics can be changed by the types of additives mixed during the processing. PVC S6532 is a porous suspension thermoplastic polymer with high bulk density which is used for rigid and Semi-Rigid and plasticized PVC; pipes, profiles, tubes, sheets and film.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC or Vinyl) is a high strength thermoplastic material widely used in applications, such as pipes, health care and medical devices, electrical cables, wire and cable insulation, automobile and other sectors, household products, clothing, flooring and construction.
There are two popular methods for the manufacture of PVC through the addition polymerization process:
Suspension PVC (S-PVC) and Bulk or Emulsion PVC (E-PVC)
Suspension PVC (S-PVC)
Suspension Polyvinyl Chloride is a solid white powder with no odor at standard temperatures and pressures. Exposure to temperatures of 300°F or greater for extended periods of time may cause thermal degradation of PVC Suspension Resin. Temperatures above 420°F, prolonged heating at processing temperatures, or excessive heat combinations during processing can generate hazardous decomposition products.
Applications:
Many properties of PVC Suspension Resin make it ideal for a variety of applications. S-PVC is biologically and chemically resistant; it is durable and ductile; and it can be made softer and flexible by the addition of plasticizers.
PVC Suspension Resin (S-PVC) is a polymer manufactured from Vinyl Chloride monomer. Suspension Polyvinyl Chloride is used extensively in building and construction, automotive, and medical industries.
S-PVC is one of the most common plastics. PVC Suspension Resin is used in production of profiles, siding, cable compounds, sheets, pipes, packaging, various types of films, including films for stretch ceilings, artificial leather, wiring insulation, Polyvinylchloride fiber, Polyvinylchloride foam, shoe making plastic compounds, furniture edges.
Safety:
Eye exposure to dust of Suspension Polyvinyl Chloride may cause irritation; excessive concentrations of nuisance dust in the workplace may reduce visibility and may cause unpleasant deposits in eyes. Skin exposure to dust of PVC Suspension Resin may cause irritation. Inhalation exposure to dust may cause irritation.
Storage:
Keep container of PVC Suspension Resin tightly closed. Store S-PVC in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Reseal containers immediately after use. To maintain the quality of Suspension Polyvinyl Chloride, do not store in heat or direct sunlight, keep only in the original container at a temperature not exceeding 40°C.
