ACEMATT OK 412

Acematt matting agents are high performance Silica. Acematt OK 412 is a fine-grained wax in form of white powder. Acematt OK 412 is highly versatile and has a very low viscosity impact.

Applications:

By offering very high compatibility and easy dispersibility, Acematt OK 412 can be used in a large variety of applications in paints and coatings. This effective matting agent is suitable for pigmented coatings and due to the remarkable suspension behavior and low conductivity. Acematt matting agents is particularly suitable for clear coating and other non-pigmented systems.

The physical properties of Acematt OK 412 make it an all-purpose matting agent for coatings and overprint varnishes. These Silica-based matting agents obtain films with excellent surface smoothness and change the surface roughness of a coating.

This highly efficient Silica is intended for use in clear coatings and water- and solvent-based coatings. Due to its low conductivity, Acematt OK 412 matting agent is used for electro-deposition coatings. Acematt OK 412 is also used as a high-quality filler for e-coats.

Other applications of Acematt OK 412 include wood coatings, plastics, and automotive coatings.

Storage:

Due to its high specific surface area, Acematt OK 412 can absorb moisture and volatile organic compounds from the surrounding atmosphere. Therefore, it is recommended to store Acematt OK 412 in sealed containers in a dry, cool place, which is removed from volatile organic substances.

The recommended use- by date is 24 months after date of manufacture. Acematt OK 412 with more than 24 months old should be tested for moisture content before use in order to make certain that it is still suitable for the intended application.
