Iron Oxide Red 190 is an inorganic, synthetic red pigment in the form of powder. This pigment contains minimum 95% iron oxide content. Iron Oxide Red 190 has a spherical particle shape with a pH value of 3 to 7.

Offering excellent light and temperature resistance, Iron Oxide Red 190 also offers strong color strength and good dispersion. Red 190 has a density of 4.9 to 5.1 gr/cm3 and a moisture content of approximately 1%. Iron Oxide Red 190 is insoluble in water and organic solvents and soluble in concentrated mineral Acids.

Iron Oxide Red 190 is a red pigment powder featuring strong covering power, high tinting strength, high hiding ability, easy dispersion, good light fastness, weather fastness, stable performance, and excellent anti-rust and UV protection properties. Red 190 can be used in a wide variety of paint and coatings applications.

 

Applications:

Iron Oxide Red 190 is used in many types of paints and coatings, including anti-rust paint, water-soluble indoor/outdoor paints and oil-based paints.

Red 190 can be used for dyeing construction materials, such as bricks, for concrete bricks, pavement, colorful tiles, roofing tiles, man-made marble, glazed ceramics, pottery and porcelain, and colors for ceramic body.

Iron Oxide Red 190 is used in plastics and rubber industry including surface coloration of plastic epoxy floor, color for pitch, and also as a more fade-resistant dye for plastics.

Red 190 can be used in paper industry, leather industry and in printing inks. Iron Oxide Red 190 is used as pigment for cosmetic and also for coloring sugar-coat for medicine tablets.
